Lindsay Shiver, a Georgia mother and beauty pageant winner, is facing serious allegations for attempting to hire a hitman to kill her estranged husband, Robert Shiver. Despite having her bail revoked due to a controversial interview with Good Morning America, a Nassau judge has reconsidered and is expected to release her on a $100,000 bail if she adheres to a gag order. Shiver and her alleged accomplices, including lover Terrance Bethel, maintain their innocence as they all plead not guilty to the charges filed against them. This case highlights ongoing safety concerns following a prior abusive situation.
Shiver's attorneys reportedly argued that she did not breach her jail conditions, which the judge disagreed with. "It was clearly laid out that if Mrs. Shiver wished to travel or move outside of the designated area, she was first to contact and request the permission of the court."
Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson revoked Shiver's bail last year after the GMA interview, calling it a "blatant disregard for the court's leniency and indulgence," but she reportedly reversed her decision this week on the condition that Shiver and her lover maintain their silence.
Shiver, along with her lover and the alleged hitman, pleaded not guilty to all charges after being arrested in the Bahamas in July 2023. This cannot and will not be tolerated.
The judge aimed to take Shiver "out of harm's way" after a previous incident with a boyfriend, illustrating concerns for her safety alongside the legal proceedings.
