"We are now offering the world the first ever, Dog Poop Single," Vinny Castellano of Belushi Speed Ball told MetalSucks. "You can listen to us gush about Fantano's thighs through a heaping smoldering chunk of Labrador Feces. Which we have forever preserved in resin. This is a 1 of 1 item from us, which we will NEVER make again."
The stunt drew hearty laughs from all quarters, with one exception: Louisville, Kentucky, thrash metal band Belushi Speed Ball. The band says that Green Day has ripped off its gimmick of releasing tracks on teddy bears and video game cartridges.
Citing a policy violation, eBay removed Belushi Speed Ball's dookie listing on Thursday, according to an Instagram post from the band. In the post, the band said that the top bid had reached $56.
Instead of hurling insults, they're hurling, well, dookie. It's not only an act of one-upmanship but also a not-so-subtle jab at Green Day; 'Dookie,' after all, is slang for poop.
