The Karim Slaoui Fund, established by Aurore Balsan, honors the legacy of her late husband Karim Slaoui, who faced severe mobility challenges due to cancer. Launched recently, the Fund aims to support entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions for people with impaired mobility. It offers loans ranging from €20K to €100K for projects focusing on low-tech solutions for wheelchair users. The initiative arises from the couple's own struggles with wheelchair accessibility during Slaoui's illness, demonstrating a commitment to advancing accessibility and mobility.
Let us begin 2025 on a high note by enhancing the lives of individuals with reduced mobility! The Karim Slaoui Fund is now launched and ready to provide its initial grants.
Be optimistic and innovate - those were the words of my co-founder, Karim Slaoui. Today, his wife and his father honoured his legacy with a new initiative to carry this mission forward.
