Amtrak service halted between Penn Station, New Haven after Bronx track fire | amNewYork
Briefly

Amtrak service was suspended Tuesday afternoon between Penn Station and New Haven after a brush fire in the Bronx caused a loss of power to trains.
The FDNY confirmed that the fire began at 1601 Bronxdale Ave. near Parkchester and had affected a building and several cars.
Amtrak could not immediately provide an estimate for when service would be restored, and the fire was still ablaze as of 4:15 p.m.
Amtrak advised customers to take Metro-North's service instead, as their tickets were being cross-honored due to the disruption.
