At re:Invent 2024, AWS introduced Nova, a new family of generative AI models, comprising of four text-based models and additional image and video modes that enhance creative capabilities.
The AWS Nova suite includes four text models – Micro, Lite, Pro, and Premier – with the first three available now and the fourth set for early 2025, indicating rapid advancements in AI technology by Amazon.
Jassy emphasized that the significant improvements in their generative AI frontier models were not only for Amazon's internal use but were also intended to offer substantial value to AWS customers.
