The first of a new fleet of Piccadilly line trains, featuring walk-through and air-conditioned design, will enter service at the start of 2025, improving passenger comfort.
To prepare for the new trains, Transport for London has confirmed at least six more months of closures on the Piccadilly line at the beginning of 2025.
Current closures affecting the Piccadilly line between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge are aimed at repairing damage to tracks, caused by leaf fall, continuing until mid-January.
Passengers are advised to use alternative routes, particularly the Metropolitan line, due to ongoing suspensions and planned closures throughout early 2025.
