Airport Workers at One the Busiest Hubs in the U.S. Just Went on Strike Days Ahead of Thanksgiving - What to Know
Briefly

"I understand that passengers are worried that they may not be able to make it home for the holidays. But I have to worry that my family won't even have a home this Thanksgiving," Laura Kelly, a striking wheelchair agent, said in a statement shared with T+L.
"We don't want to go on strike, however my family deserves a safe place to lay their heads at night," Kelly added, emphasizing the dire financial situation faced by workers.
Workers at CLT reported making between $12.50 and $19 per hour, below the living wage for the area, leading to the strike amid the busy Thanksgiving period.
Despite the strike, CLT airport officials claim there will be no impact on travelers, with preparations in place to handle the expected record-breaking passenger volume.
