The survey of 1,500 respondents ranked accents by relaxation, with Welsh leading, followed by Cornish and Yorkshire. The Brummie accent ranked low for relaxation.
Interestingly, the Scottish and Northern Irish accents were viewed similarly in terms of aggression, placing them surprisingly high for relaxation at sixth place.
Despite regional variety, some accents, like Geordie and Norfolk, placed favorably, while Cockney and Essex accents finished at the bottom of the relaxation rankings.
A global relaxation accent survey placed Italian at the top, with German surprisingly in ninth place, while the British accent was notably excluded from the list.
