His passion, creativity and warmth touched colleagues, audiences, and his many, many friends across the country. Hugh's husband, Martin Corbett has called for privacy at this difficult time. Hugh Wallace, a founding partner and director of Douglas Wallace Architects/Consultants and an RIAI architect, died suddenly at home. He served as a judge on RTÉ's Home of the Year since 2015 and presented The Great House Revival and My Bungalow Bliss. He and husband Martin Corbett were together for 39 years and married in 2012. Martin Corbett announced the death and requested privacy. Family and colleagues paid tribute, describing his passion, creativity and warmth that touched colleagues, audiences and many friends. Production CEO Larry Bass praised his television presence and empathy in offering design critique.
