There’s something unauthentic about it. There’s something missing; it feels like what a 10-year-old thinks 2003 was like and not actually what it was like.
The makeup was never so polished. It was bad, like foundation three shades darker than our skintone; we were not all shiny and perfect.
This is not 2003; this is a Shein ad. Heelies were more of a thing now than then.
Nobody used a CD player like a phone. Texting was the norm, not calling. We were more likely gaming on TI calculators.
