This Gorgeous Lake in Minnesota Just Got a New Hotel for the First Time in 100 Years
Briefly

The Shoreline Hotel, newly opened on May 1 in Spring Park, Minnesota, is the first hotel on Lake Minnetonka in over a century. It offers 27 guest rooms including a lavish presidential suite, a restaurant focused on coastal cuisine, and a marina with 32 slips. The hotel’s design showcases the lake's natural beauty, incorporating light, neutral tones to create an inviting atmosphere. Owner Kelly Olsen honors her family lineage with the restaurant's name and menu while embedding original artwork throughout the space, linking personal history with local culture.
As an ode to her late husband, who was an artist, she decorated the hotel's public spaces with original art and plans to host artist exhibits.
Everything is in neutral colors, but there are a lot of textures, too. [...] We did a two-tone paint on the walls-it's lighter on the top than the bottom. That line brings your eye to the lake even more.
