Early Friday morning, three yachts were engulfed in flames along the Miami River in Northwest Miami-Dade. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue deployed over 30 units to battle the fire near the 3200 block of Northwest North River Drive. Firefighters tackled the blaze using both land and water methods, employing foam to supplant the flames. The affected yachts included two 60-footers and a 90-footer. Although the fire was extinguished, crews remained on-site to manage fuel runoff and mitigate environmental impact, using specialized equipment to handle potential oil spills. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the fire’s cause remains undetermined.
