Gold Coast's Iconic Carmine's Will Soon Wake After Two Years of Hibernation
Briefly

After being closed for two years, Carmine's is set to reopen at 1037 N. Rush Street with a new design featuring a 10,000-square-foot space on the second floor. The revamp, costing $4 million, includes an outdoor terrace and a bar. While specific details about the menu remain forthcoming, it's expected that many classic dishes from Carmine's original offerings will be available. The restaurant, originally opened in 1994, is a pivotal part of the evolving dining landscape on Rush Street.
The expansive 10,000-square-foot restaurant will no longer be spread across three floors as it previously did; instead, it will be on the second floor, according to a release.
Details about the menu weren't immediately provided by ownership, however, a news release says that customers can expect many of the dishes that helped make Carmine's famous, such as stuffed mushrooms and premium butcher-cut, bone-in rib-eye.
