Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward has decided not to throw at the NFL scouting combine, expressing that it wouldn't benefit his draft position. Projected as the top quarterback for the 2025 draft, Ward has had positive meetings with key teams, including the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants. He plans to showcase his throwing ability at the Miami pro day on March 24, after leading FBS with 39 touchdown passes last season and finishing fourth in the Heisman voting.
"Me throwing here is not going to move me in no type of way," Ward said at Indiana Convention Center on Friday.
"I have had good meetings with all the teams who own the top three picks, the Titans, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants."
