Dolphins' Matos still in hospital for observation
Briefly

Bayron Matos, a Dolphins offensive lineman, was hospitalized with an undisclosed injury from training camp. He is in stable condition with movement in all extremities. Fellow player Austin Jackson commented on the heartbreak of injuries in football. Matos, 24, is originally from the Dominican Republic and transitioned to football from other sports, having played both basketball and baseball. He signed with the Dolphins through the NFL's International Player Pathway Program after undrafted in 2024 and had a year on the practice squad before signing a reserve contract.
The Dolphins said in a statement that Matos "has movement in all extremities and is in stable condition," but they did not provide any other details of his injury.
Matos, who signed a reserve/future contract in January, had spent time with Miami's practice squad over the past year.
