That's according to an email to the Miami Herald from Miami-Dade Aviation Department Communications Director Greg Chin about the green stuff seen in a video posted to OnlyInDade's X and Instagram accounts. The video showed green liquid coming out of the ceiling and covering the floor in one gate seating area.
This was 'water from the A/C system with a green dye in it, so that if there if there is ever a leak it can be traced to its source,' the email said.
The water was cleaned up by noon.
