The IRS has announced that individuals and businesses in 51 Florida counties affected by recent hurricanes have until May 1, 2025, to file and pay taxes. This extension applies in response to a disaster declaration by FEMA.
Taxpayers in Florida can take advantage of the filing extension covering all federal individual and business tax returns, including those due during March and April 2025, allowing them time to recover from hurricane destruction.
