Bicyclist in critical condition after being struck by a car in Miami, police say

At approximately 5:30 a.m., Miami Fire Rescue arrived at Southwest 27th Avenue and 22nd Street, discovering a man in his 50s critically injured after being struck by a vehicle.
The man was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, as stated by Pete Sanchez, the Miami Fire Rescue spokesperson.
According to Michael Vega from Miami Police, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, and an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway.
Although the incident caused a road closure, officials confirmed that the roads have since reopened after the emergency services responded.
