The Shelborne hotel, an iconic Miami Beach destination, is set to reopen on May 1, 2025, following a $100 million renovation. This extensive restoration has modernized the hotel while preserving its historical charm, showcasing MiMo architectural features typical of the 1950s. The hotel now boasts 251 rooms, a large lobby bar, and restored original elements like the diving tower. As luxury hotel construction slows in the area, this reopening marks a significant moment in the revitalization of South Florida's hospitality landscape.
Our focus was on respecting the building's storied past while crafting spaces that feel both inviting and contemporary for today's guests.
The renovation is part of a rebirth of luxury resorts on one of the best-known streets in South Florida.
The original building facade and double-height windows have been restored, and the pool now includes the 1950s diving board.
Suites include a 1,700 square-foot two-bedroom penthouse with a large outdoor terrace and unobstructed views of the ocean and Miami Beach.
