Gerhardt Konig, a 46-year-old anesthesiologist, has been charged with attempting to murder his wife, Arielle, during a vacation in Hawaii. Authorities report that the incident occurred when Konig allegedly pushed his wife off a hiking trail after she refused to take a photo with him. Following the push, he is accused of hitting her with a rock and punching her multiple times. Arielle sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. Konig was subsequently arrested, and his employer, Maui Health, has suspended him pending investigation.
