Bromley man who battled depression now hosting a series of wellness events
Briefly

Ted Lawlor, who faced depression in 2017, recognized a link between his deteriorating mental health and physical ailments, such as impetigo. After his father's passing, he used techniques like visualization and breathwork to maintain his mental wellbeing. Inspired to share these practices, Ted founded wellness workshops in Beckenham, successfully attracting a diverse audience. His sessions, which include hypnosis and meditation, quickly gained popularity, reflecting a growing interest in mental health support, especially among men, amidst societal stigmas.
While at university, he began exploring ways to improve his mental health, delving into motivational videos, the law of attraction, manifestation, and practical techniques such as visualisation and breathwork.
Sharing this with others is the best thing I've ever done, Ted said, it's the things that have been helping me.
Ted acknowledges the stigma surrounding men's mental health and the widening gaps in support.
His first session, held last Saturday, sold out, and due to the overwhelming response, he quickly arranged a second session for April, which also sold out overnight.
