Camila Mendoza Olmos, 19, was found dead in a field about 100 yards from her home after being missing since Christmas Eve. The medical examiner determined a gunshot wound to the head caused her death and ruled it a suicide. A firearm was located at the scene; authorities reported a firearm belonging to a relative is missing and have not determined if it matches. Authorities noted indicators of suicidal ideation and possible undiagnosed depression. Surveillance and dashboard camera footage may show Mendoza Olmos walking near her home and rummaging through her car on the morning she disappeared; she left without her phone. Crisis hotline information was provided.
