Wegovy Can Keep Weight Off for at Least 4 Years, Research Shows
Briefly

People taking semaglutide saw their weight decline steadily over the first 65 weeks of treatment, then plateau, but the initial weight loss was sustained through 208 weeks (four years) of follow-up.
On average, people taking the drug lost 10.2% of their weight, surpassing the placebo group's loss by 8.7%. This weight loss maintenance is particularly significant over the extended period.
In comparison to other trials, the weight loss from Wegovy is lower at 10.2%, whereas previous studies showed 14.9% weight loss. Nevertheless, the maintained loss over four years is notable.
