Digital Autism Screening Tool Could Enhance Early Identification
Briefly

In the study, researchers tested a tablet-based app called SenseToKnow, which captures behaviors like gaze patterns, facial expressions, and head movements. This approach enables the app to analyze a range of behavioral variations typically seen in children with autism.
475 toddlers aged 17-36 months participated, with 49 later diagnosed with autism and 98 with developmental/language delay. The app used computer vision and machine learning to provide diagnostic classifications and prediction confidence scores based on recorded behaviors.
