YouTube is set to improve content organization for creators by allowing them to present their videos like episodic TV shows. Announced at the Made in YouTube event, this feature aims to create a more user-friendly experience similar to Netflix or Amazon Prime, with access to seasons and automatic episode playback. This enhancement will replace the existing playlist function, which lacks organization. It also ties into YouTube's earlier effort with PrimeTime Channels to unify content from various services under one platform. Creators will also get to customize show pages with art for better visibility.
Shows will allow creators to structure their content on their channels as though they were fully-fledged, episodic TV shows.
That way viewers can find it throughout the app, and we'll recommend the show.
