This book is written for three readers: aspiring journalists, practicing journalists seeking improvement in audio storytelling, and the public curious about NPR's processes.
The media literacy crisis has made it essential to shed light on the lengths NPR journalists go to ensure fairness, balance, and accuracy in news reporting.
I aimed for the book to bridge classroom knowledge and real-world application, with insights gleaned from interviewing 80 of NPR's best journalists.
Although NPR isn't perfect, we strive to uncover truth and treat interview subjects and audiences with the utmost respect, aiming to restore trust.
