The top editor at The Washington Post, Sally Buzbee, has stepped down after three years due to undisclosed reasons as the paper reported a $77 million loss last year. Matt Murray will take over until the end of the 2024 US presidential election.
The Post plans to launch a new division focusing on service and social media journalism to adapt to changing audience preferences in news consumption. Buzbee was praised by CEO William Lewis for her leadership.
