How Jake and Logan Paul's 'whirlwind' new reality show blurs the lines between TV and social media
Briefly

The upcoming series "Paul American," directed by Michael John Warren, utilizes a hybrid approach to blend content created by influencers Jake and Logan Paul with traditional media elements. The series showcases the brothers pitching it to network executives, presenting a unique method of storytelling that blurs the lines between reality television and influencer-driven media. The increase in influencer-led shows, reinforced by recent popular series and events, signifies a shift in the unscripted landscape, moving towards a more integrated and polished format that engages a broader audience.
"I'm so sure that no show's been made like this before," said Warren, who described a "hybrid" approach to patching together all of the footage - from the guys, their socials, and his own - in a way that felt seamless.
"It's definitely a bridge to some part of the future," Warren said of 'Paul American.'
"We see the unscripted landscape changing," said Sarina Roma, an EP on 'Paul American' and EVP of originals at Boardwalk Pictures.
"They're pretty down to bear it all," one executive producer said of Jake and Logan Paul.
