Google to remove content from EU news publishers from News, Search, and Discover in small test
Briefly

Google is conducting a limited test affecting 1% of users in select EU countries to assess the impact of news stories on the usage of its services.
This test, which will remove EU-based news content from Google News, Search, and Discover, responds to requests from regulators and publishers for additional data.
Google's Extended News Previews program, under Article 15 of the EUCD, allows it to pay over 4,000 publications for the right to display news snippets.
Agreements with publishers are based on consistent criteria related to usage and ad revenue, showing Google's effort to comply with EU copyright regulations.
