Nandini Jammi, cofounder of Check My Ads Institute, announced her departure from the organization amid challenges including funding issues and a defamation lawsuit. Her group has focused on targeting conservative media by cutting their advertising funding, gaining attention for its controversial tactics. Jammi expressed pride in the advocacy work done by her organization but is shifting to a consultancy role post-departure, emphasizing her background in marketing. The legal challenges and changes in the political landscape seem to have influenced this decision.
Dear friends, followers and haterz, when we launched Check My Ads Institute in late 2021, we envisioned a grassroots advocacy organization that would hold the digital advertising industry accountable for running your ads in places you don't want them, without your knowledge.
That being said, it's time for me to hit the road. I'm a marketer at heart, noted Jammi as she steps down, indicating a shift towards her consultancy career.
I have enormous pride in our group's role as the industry's indisputable watchdog bringing much-needed public attention to this shady trillion dollar ecosystem.
Jammi received glowing profiles from The Washington Post, New York magazine, and other outlets for her push to deplatform and demonetize conservative voices online.
