"Economic headwinds"? No, The Messenger's flop is the result of one man's blindness to his own bad ideas
Briefly

The article presents a hypothetical scenario where the author becomes the starting quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl and leads the team to a disastrous loss.
Well, obviously not the result we were hoping for. Credit to the Niners - they played well.
Despite pointing out possible factors that could have contributed to the loss such as the defensive schemes of the opposing team and questionable play calling, the author takes full responsibility for the defeat.
But none of that matters, really. Because the real reason the Chiefs lost, in this hypothetical, is that I made an incredibly idiotic decision that was an obvious mistake from the moment it popped into my head.
