"We are pleased that our networks have been restored in time for fans to enjoy the many great programming options this weekend, including college football,"
"We apologize for the disruption and appreciate our subscribers' patience as we negotiated on their behalf."
YouTube TV and Disney reached a carriage agreement that restores ABC, ESPN, FX, and other Disney networks after a two-week blackout. The deal makes ESPN's new direct-to-consumer service available on YouTube TV at no additional cost. YouTube gains the right to sell select Disney networks and offer the Disney+/Hulu bundle within various packages. Disney executives described the agreement as one that recognizes Disney programming's value and increases subscriber flexibility and choice. YouTube apologized for the disruption, said channels would be restored throughout the day, issued a $20 credit, and disputed survey-based churn claims.
