Jud Spencer, one of The Trade Desk's longest-tenured product leaders, left the company with his last day on Nov. 21. He served as a lead engineer for more than 12 years, developing the DSP platform, overseeing supply-side inventory sourcing, media quality assessments and technology partnerships including with verification provider HUMAN. Spencer expressed interest in continuing standards work around ad inventory and programmatic transaction transparency and said his time at TTD enabled meaningful changes to the ad tech supply chain. He collaborated on the OpenRTB Transaction ID standard and participated in the IAB Tech Lab's Programmatic Supply Chain Working Group. The Trade Desk declined to comment amid tensions with Prebid.org.
