Sizmek and PubMatic announced a global supply path optimization (SPO) partnership to consolidate programmatic ad spend and improve advertiser transparency. Sizmek will include PubMatic in its network of preferred publisher platforms and provide prioritized access to premium inventory across PubMatic's publisher portfolio via PMP-Guaranteed and Targeted PMP programmatic direct channels. Sizmek cited PubMatic’s inventory quality, fraud-free guarantee, match rates, and technology stack as justification for the partnership and to enable additional impression opportunities for clients. PubMatic characterized supply and demand consolidation as inevitable amid growing scrutiny of the adtech supply chain and advertiser demands for greater efficiency. eMarketer projects US programmatic ad spend to exceed $46bn in 2018.
