Briefly

Patreon is launching a live video streaming feature for creators, beginning an early access test for select users this week. The feature will eventually be available to more creators this summer. The rollout follows similar moves from competitors like Substack, who also entered the live video arena. Creator feedback will help refine the feature throughout testing, with thousands of creators involved in the initial phases.

Taylor says that "thousands of creators" will have access to the livestreaming test. "We're working with a diverse group of creators who have frequently used our existing community chat and video tools...".
