Albert Heijn has become the first retail media network certified under IAB Europe's Retail Media Certification Programme following a pilot audit by ABC. The programme, launched in October 2024, aims to bring greater transparency, consistency, and trust to measurement of on-site and off-site retail media campaigns. Certification demonstrates retailers' commitment to accountable, transparent, and high-quality retail media offerings and helps foster a trusted investment environment for brands and agencies. Albert Heijn received certification for display (static) and sponsored products across its website and mobile app. Participating retail media networks can select which ad products to submit for certification while adhering to the programme's rigorous standards.
