"It's overdue for a consolidated identity vendor to emerge, because the industry needs a better way to recognize people and make advertising work more effectively,"
"The industry needs more of a one-stop-shop mindset."
"We need a dynamic framework that basically creates a level of abstraction over technical and regulatory changes,"
"That way, whoever uses our graph and the ID has a stable foundation to build their business, while we take care of the complexity and the changes underneath."
ID5 acquired TrueData, its first acquisition since 2017, to address fragmentation in digital identity by connecting people and households to devices. The deal closed last week and followed a $5–6 million funding round earlier this year to help finance the transaction. The acquisition expands ID5's identity graph and recognition reach to roughly 1.5 billion users across 665 million households. The company expects a 30% to 40% incremental revenue uplift and will invest in machine learning and a dynamic framework that abstracts technical and regulatory changes to provide a stable foundation for customers.
