Parents should be extremely cautious while shopping online this Christmas, as a Which? investigation found over half of 23 inexpensive toys posed serious safety risks such as sharp points and choking hazards.
Rocio Concha, Which? director of policy and advocacy, stated, 'It was frighteningly easy for Which? to find dangerous toys for sale on some of the world's most popular online marketplaces.'
The investigation discovered many of these toys improperly lacked necessary safety markings, making 91 percent of unbranded toys illegal to sell in the UK, which is alarming.
Reviews from TikTok shop users highlighted concerns, including one who remarked: 'My baby choked', reinforcing the need for parents to be vigilant about toy safety.
