Trying out TikTok's top competitors
Briefly

In the event of a TikTok ban, many platforms are vying to become the next go-to for shortform video content. Services like Tumblr and others offer scrolling video feeds that mimic TikTok's functionality. However, while these platforms share core features, they lack significant innovation to differentiate themselves. Users may gravitate toward services they are already familiar with, leading to a scattering of content creators and viewers rather than a clear successor to TikTok. The future of these alternatives remains uncertain and may follow a fragmented pattern similar to the decline of Twitter.
If TikTok does finally disappear, I suspect we will find ourselves in the same pattern that has followed Twitter / X's slow plunge, where creators and followers scatter.
Most certainly operate like TikTok. You scroll up to see the next short video, like videos, follow creators, or leave a comment, but without innovation to stand apart.
