In a message to employees, TikTok assured them that their jobs would remain secure despite potential legal setbacks, highlighting a shift in the company's tone.
Nicky Raghavan, TikTok's global head of human resources, stated, "Your employment, pay and benefits are secure, and our offices will remain open, even if this situation hasn't been resolved before the January 19 deadline."
The law in question would not close TikTok's U.S. offices but would penalize app stores that distribute its app, effectively banning it.
Despite the looming ban, TikTok's message praised employees' resilience and noted that leadership remains focused on planning for different scenarios.
