TikTok loses challenge to strike down law forcing sale or ban in the U.S.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit has ruled that the law requiring TikTok to sever ties with its Chinese parent company is constitutional.

The court emphasized that the First Amendment exists to protect free speech, but the government acted to limit a foreign adversary's ability to gather data on U.S. citizens.
