Ruben Amorim: My opinion on Bruno Fernandes is more important than Roy Keane's
Briefly

Bruno Fernandes, named Manchester United's captain in July 2023, faces scrutiny regarding his leadership qualities, especially from former player Roy Keane, who claims he lacks the fighting spirit necessary for captaincy. Keane's criticism is countered by coach Amorim, who emphasizes Fernandes' importance to the team and acknowledges the difficulties he faces in managing expectations and frustrations. Despite Keane's high standards, Amorim believes that Fernandes is doing well and values his contributions, reflecting a broader discussion on leadership styles and performance pressure in professional sports.
I heard about that. I have a different opinion. Bruno is really important for us in the club, especially for me.
Sometimes he does things as a captain, like with his arms and sometimes you see it like criticizing team-mates. I think most of all it's a lot of frustration for this year and the last year and the others.
Roy Keane has big standards from him in his time and it's normal to have an opinion. I have an opposite opinion, and I think it's more important my opinion than Roy Keane because I am the coach.
