Ratcliffe backs Amorim, at United 'for a long time'
Briefly

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of Manchester United, has publicly backed manager Ruben Amorim, stating he believes Amorim will remain with the club for an extended period despite a challenging start with only 11 wins in 26 matches. Ratcliffe acknowledged the poor performance and condition of the squad he inherited, indicating that many players are not up to standard. He emphasized that improving the squad and moving the club forward will require time and that the transformative changes being enacted are necessary for financial stability.
If I actually look at the squad which is available to Ruben, I think he is doing a really good job to be honest. I think Ruben is an outstanding young manager.
Some are not good enough and some probably are overpaid, but for us to mold the squad that we are fully responsible for, and accountable for, will take time.
We are in the process of change and I do believe that we are steering the club in the right direction, albeit slowly.
We've got this period of transformation where we move from the past to the future.
