"I'm proud to be here and to be part of this community and club with these fantastic people. I was at the first Iftar last year and this is huge! We, as a team, will give everything to make you proud both during Ramadan and outside of Ramadan too."
"Hosting Iftar at Old Trafford is incredibly meaningful for Muslim supporters. It sends a powerful message that Manchester United is a club where everyone belongs. Ramadan is a time of reflection, gratitude and community, and to break our fast together at the Theatre of Dreams is something many of us never imagined growing up."
Manchester United held its second fan Iftar event at Old Trafford in partnership with the Muslim Supporters' Club (MUMSC). The evening featured spiritual elements including Quranic recitation, a reflection on Ramadan's significance led by a Sheikh from Cheadle Mosque, and the Maghrib call to prayer. Guests broke their fast with dates, sweet cones, and croffles, followed by a halal buffet. First-team player Noussair Mazraoui participated in an interactive Q&A session with attendees, and Academy players were also present. The event concluded with an auction supporting a Ramadan charity campaign, emphasizing community and inclusion within the club.
