FC United of Manchester and a Manchester United fan group, The 1958, are collaborating for the first time to protest against 20 years of Glazer ownership. The event, called United United Day, will occur during a FC United match against Stockton Town, aiming to voice discontent about the Glazer family's impact, including high debt levels and financial losses. Founded in 2005, FC United emerged from dissatisfaction with the Glazers, who have maintained control since Malcolm Glazer's leveraged buyout. Current ownership remains controversial among fans, as evidenced by the planned joint action.
The action will take place at seventh-tier FC United's home fixture against Stockton Town, where fans will gather to display their disquiet at Glazer ownership.
FC United said: Together, we will make our voices heard: enough is enough. The club was born out of anger at the Glazers' takeover.
