Manchester City overcame an early deficit to beat Swansea City 3-1 and progress to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals. Swansea scored in the 12th minute when Goncalo Franco chipped into the top right corner, prompting Swansea to defend deep. City struggled for long periods before Cherki struck the post and Doku levelled with a deflected shot just before half-time. Marmoush put City ahead with a strike into the roof of the net following a pass from Cherki. Swansea pushed late to find an equaliser but City maintained control and saw out the victory. Several lineup changes featured, including Trafford in goal and Khusanov returning from injury.
