Pep Guardiola described the performance as slightly better than the result, defended his selection of Trafford based on previous form, and emphasized that the season is long, new signings are settling, and the team will learn from the defeat.
"I had the feeling [the performance] was a little bit better than the result," Guardiola told TNT Sports.
