In a recent Premier League match, Manchester City’s Jeremy Doku showcased his skill against Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, completing 15 dribbles and winning 16 duels. Despite individual brilliance, City lost, falling further behind in the title race. Doku expressed regret over not fully utilizing his advantage, citing poor final passes after beating Alexander-Arnold. Pep Guardiola noted positives in City’s performance amidst the defeat, yet Doku acknowledged the challenge posed by Liverpool's effective tactics, especially after they scored two early goals, making the game difficult for City to regain control.
Doku admitted, 'As an attacker it's also very important to pass your player and then find the right pass - the amount of times I got past, I could have done better with the final pass to look for my teammate.'
Doku reflected on his performance, stating, 'I need to analyse the game and see what I could have done better. [Liverpool] score two goals early and then it's difficult to find the spaces when they play very deep.'
