The Milwaukee Brewers have outrighted right-hander JB Bukauskas to Triple-A after passing him through waivers. He has opted not to become a free agent and accepted a non-roster invite to camp. Bukauskas, who has spent much of his time with the Brewers on the injured list and optional assignments, has a limited big league record, pitching only 30 1/3 innings due to injuries. Despite his past as a first-round pick and a solid minor league performance, he needs to demonstrate his health for any chance at the big league roster in 2025.
Bukauskas, 28, has been with the Brewers for almost two years now, spending much of it on optional assignment or on the injured list.
Despite that limited résumé, Bukauskas is appealing in other ways; he's a former first-round pick and was once a top 100 prospect.
