Cody Poteet becomes first to use ABS challenge system against Dodgers
Briefly

In the first matchup of Spring Training between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs, the focus shifted from the score to player performances and the introduction of Major League Baseball's Automatic Ball-Strike (ABS) challenge system. This innovative technology allows players to contest ball or strike calls in real-time, enhancing officiating accuracy. The system was immediately utilized by Cubs pitcher Cody Poteet, demonstrating its potential. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts and player Max Muncy expressed different perspectives on the system, highlighting its novelty and the need for further refinement in its implementation.
"It was good," Roberts said. "I think it's actually a pretty good system. Obviously, trying to figure out how many challenges makes the most sense in a big league ballgame."
"It's interesting. I don't hate the idea of it. The technology, I think they'll admit, is not entirely there yet, but it's a cool idea..." Muncy stated.
